#GetTechnical | A Common Error Associated With “Knees Out”

Posted on Posted in GetTechnical, Olympic Weightlifting

Here is a common error associated with this very popular cue. Make sure to watch the video below!

We do not want knees collapsing inward during a lift, but forcefully driving the knees out during a pull can cause:

❌Supinated or “rolled” feet
❌Improper weight distribution
❌Reducing contact point with the ground

Instead, try:
✅Keeping knees NEUTRAL
✅Pushing down through the ground
✅Keeping the entire sole of your shoe down

A loss of balance is a loss of power — make sure you’re pulling properly!
